In hl2 (gmod’s base), there are very few weapon holdtypes for melee, meaning that if you’re interested in a better-quality melee animation, you’d need to find an a way to add a custom holdtype. To the best of my knowledge, this is not possible. Please credit the author, however, Much Better 3rd Person Animations Tactics at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community, not required but recommended so you can set the camera to your liking. The RT Camera is completely different, a normal camera is much better if you don't know what you're doing.
